P2A Token Distribution

A preview into the token rewards you can expect from P2A.

As we near the completion of our Play-to-Airdrop (P2A) campaign on November 1, 2024 and approach ISLAND's Token Generation Event (TGE), we want to provide a breakdown of ISLAND distribution estimates for your participation in P2A.

Since our P2A campaign began in January, participants have been actively earning Airdrop Points in each of the three waves. The snapshot provided below outlines combined earnings from Wave 1, Wave 2, and the ongoing Wave 3, giving you a clear look at what to expect based on your Collector Tier and Airdrop Points percentile.

It’s important to note that these numbers represent a current snapshot, and as Wave 3 progresses over the next month, these results will change.

What You Can Expect

We tuned the ISLAND rewards for P2A with one key goal in mind: to generously reward our most dedicated players and creators. Our P2A period has been long compared to other airdrop campaigns, so the sustained efforts from our core players are being rewarded with a more generous token allocation on a per capita basis compared to other projects and comparable airdrops.

Whether you’ve been a consistent contributor or a top-tier collector, the allocations were designed to reflect the time, effort, and engagement participants have put into growing the Nifty Island ecosystem throughout the entire P2A period.

Approximately 10% of the total ISLAND token supply (equivalent to 100 million ISLAND out of the 1 billion total supply) will be allocated to the P2A campaign.

The table below shows the estimated amount of ISLAND earned per Airdrop Point for each Collector Tier across each wave. Higher Collector Tiers earn ISLAND at a higher rate, and rewards increase with each subsequent wave. The nonlinear increases between Collector Tiers in the same wave are a result of the number of players in the Tier and their relative activity.

The second table below outlines the total Airdrop Points for each Collector Tier across all waves combined, broken down by percentile rankings (25th, 50th, 75th, and 'Top Player'). Each column shows the combined Airdrop Points earned to date as well as the corresponding ISLAND allocations. As noted, these values will increase as Wave 3 progresses, so the numbers below will change.

Note: 'Top Player' may not represent the actual #1 player, but rather assumes you’ve maintained the #1 position across all three waves and continue to hold the top position in Wave 3 for that Tier.

Higher Tiers, Higher Rewards

The most important distinction in the reward structure is how the ISLAND per Airdrop Point consistently increases as you climb into higher Collector Tiers. Those in higher tiers receive significantly more ISLAND for each Airdrop Point earned. This scaling reflects not only the increased involvement and participation seen in higher Tiers but also the value and contributions that Nifty Island Legends bring to our ecosystem.

The median ISLAND allocation scales predictably with higher Tiers, ensuring that the median reward is substantially greater in each ascending Tier. In other words, the effort and dedication shown in reaching higher Collector Tiers are rewarded with proportionately higher median and per capita ISLAND rewards, making each Airdrop Point earned in these Tiers much more valuable.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I boost my Collector Tier before P2A ends?

Acquiring a Legendary Palm before the end of the P2A campaign will instantly boost your Collector Tier.

Additionally, you can connect more wallets that held eligible assets at the time of the last snapshot to your Nifty Island account up until the end of the airdrop to boost your Collector Tier.

Important: As participant's Collector Tiers shift, this will dynamically affect the entire snapshot table, so your Tier and overall airdrop will change based on this movement.

Why does the 'Top Player' in Ultra Tier not earn the most ISLAND?

Your ISLAND airdrop is determined by the Airdrop Points you’ve earned and your Collector Tier. Simply put, the higher your Collector Tier, the more value each Airdrop Point holds in terms of ISLAND rewards.

Each Collector Tier is allocated a tranche of the ISLAND supply, which is dynamically sized so that the median and per capita airdrop scales with higher Tiers. In some cases, a player in a lower Tier may have accumulated significantly more Airdrop Points relative to others in their tier, giving them a disproportionate share of their tier's ISLAND reward tranche. However, when you compare players percentile by percentile within the same Tier, it generally holds true that higher Collector Tiers reward more ISLAND per Airdrop Point.

It’s also important to note that 'Top Player' in the table may not represent the actual top-ranked player, but rather assumes you’ve maintained the #1 position across all three airdrop Waves (and continue to do so in Wave 3).

How does the ISLAND airdrop compare to other airdrops?

Our P2A period has been long compared to other airdrop campaigns, so the sustained efforts from our core players are being rewarded with a more generous token allocation on a per capita basis compared to other projects and comparable airdrops.

We analyzed many of the leading airdrops in web3 from the past two years. On average, the ISLAND per user in our upcoming airdrop is between 1.4x and 143.2x greater than the average tokens per user in comparable airdrops, when normalized for token supply. This significant difference should reflect both the time and effort our core community has contributed to the Nifty Island ecosystem throughout the P2A period.

Will the ISLAND airdrop be fully liquid on day one?

While a portion of the ISLAND airdrop will be liquid on day 1, given the generous allocation of ISLAND per capita, it is likely that there will be an unlock period for some portion of the airdrop. This ensures a sustainable token distribution model while rewarding participants both immediately and over time. More details on the unlock period will be shared closer to the TGE.

Please note: the Nifty Island team reserves the right to adjust allocations or disqualify participants if any botting, cheating, or unfair activity is detected. Our priority is ensuring a fair and balanced distribution for all participants.
