MMEG for Players
Gathering resources, crafting, selling, and earning
Today Nifty Island is a pure sandbox experience. Under MMEG, it will become far more purposeful with players earning blooms, gathering various resources, collecting rare items, and eventually crafting to produce rewards.
Players will be able to earn by engaging in island activities through a two-part system composed of resource collection and participation in playground games.
Players will have the option to participate in either playground games or resource collection to earn, or both in order to maximize their rewards. This allows players to choose from a range of casual solo gameplay to intense PvP competition, or anything in between.
The Resource Economy
A new landscape of strategic competition is coming. Players will engage in contests to outsmart each other — fishing, farming, mining, and crafting their way to reign supreme over a living economic battleground.
Islands across the map will flow with resources, and players will vie to claim them. To stay ahead, you’ll need to strategically deploy your tools and boosts, optimizing production at every turn. But raw output isn’t enough — success demands sharp instincts and adaptability. As the market shifts and values fluctuate, savvy players will seize opportunities, cornering the market on the most sought-after goods. The key to victory lies not only in maximizing your haul but also in perfectly timing your trades and knowing exactly when to buy, sell, and produce.
The resource wars will kick off with fishing.
Fishing Gameplay
Cast your line and test your skills in engaging fishing mini-games. Spot fish in the water, hook your catch, and reel it in with precision. The better your performance, the higher the quality of your catch, with unique traits determining its value and rarity.
The Market
Your catch isn’t just for show; it’s your ticket to riches. Sell fish at campfire markets for blooms, where prices fluctuate based on fish traits and recent market activity. Master the art of timing your sales to capitalize on market highs and maximize your rewards.
Coming to every campfire near you, the Merchant Spryte is a new NPC who serves as your gateway to earning rewards in Nifty Island. The Merchant is willing to buy your blooms, resources, and crafted goods at a changing rate for rewards.
Power-Ups
Supercharge your fishing with special baits and lures that increase your speed, effectiveness, and luck, giving you a better shot at landing rare and valuable species.
Fishing Competitions
Join ever-changing fishing competitions where players race to collect the most valuable catches. Adapt to shifting rules and targets to outpace your rivals on the leaderboard and claim exclusive prizes.
Discover and Explore
The best fishing spots are out there, if you know where to look! Islands with active fishing boosts are marked on the map, guiding you to the most lucrative locations. Explore, strategize, and find the perfect spot to make your fortune.

Playground Games
Playground games will remain central under MMEG but the focus will increasingly shift toward surfacing and participating in the highest quality content.
All playground games will continue to be a path to rewards. New game formats, including casual and PvE experiences, will continue to be added to the menu. More flexibility and options in game modes will add more variety to these activities.
Featured Games: Some playground games will be hand-picked by the Nifty Island team and the community to feature the most direct path to the largest rewards. This selection of games will represent the highest quality and most novel experiences that islands have to offer, constantly rotating to showcase the best new content.
MetaCorps
For players, MetaCorps will enable players to align themselves with their favorite groups of creators by purchasing their MetaTokens, resulting in buffs to their ability to play, gather, and earn on all the islands that belong to that MetaCorp.
